We love to bring in the new year with pizzas off the pizza stone. The pizza crust comes out crispy and chewy, and the homemade sauce with oozing mozzarella is out of this world! To top the night off we have a toast with homemade strawberry bellinis, sparkling cider and chocolate fondue. There is something so delightful about bite size pieces of fruits and sweets dunked into a bath of creamy chocolate. If you don’t fondue…do. You’ll be glad you did.
Electric fondue pot
2 bags of gourmet chocolate chips such as Ghiradelli or Guittard
3/4 cup heavy cream
With your fondue pot on 200 degrees, pour in your chocolate chips and cream. Stir until nice and creamy.
On a large platter…pile high on your dunking treats such as:
bananas cut into 1/4 inch pieces
long stem strawberries
cake donuts, cut into small chunks
long pretzel rods…have these in the center of your platter in a tall glass
chocolate chip or m&m cookies, either homemade or from scratch
large marshmallows

OOO I totally love fondue and make it the same way you do, but I only have 1 child so far and so we make in smaller batches. Another awesome twist is to add a few spoonfuls of peanut butter to it!! It's yummy too!!
