Can you believe it?
I have five hungry boys, 3 hungry girls, and one starving husband; all wanting to know what I’m going to do about it; I had no choice but to step up to the plate! I found that I am in love with the closeness homemade cooking can provide; I am not only feeding their hungry bellies, I’m bringing my family together with good food, laughter, and a fight for second helpings.
Having an Italian mother, enabled me to see simple delicious cooking and baking done all the time. She had wonderful dishes she was able to pass on to me as well as her love for cooking; she danced in our kitchen when I was little, and flour was always on her nose!
My fondest memories were our Sunday spaghetti dinners growing up.
This authentic spaghetti and meatballs was extraordinary, but let me tell you, it was the love that went into it, that made it so delicious.
Little did I know, that this meal time, together, as a family. The food, the preparation, the love that was poured into our food, started a seed in me.
When I started my family of my own, that is when the tiny seed grew.
I’ve played around in my kitchen for years; perfecting, creating complete messes, and taste-testing everything. I cook everything from scratch, with simple ingredients and I’m totally in love with cooking my Mom’s spaghetti, baking with chocolate, and absolutely in love with kneading dough and making homemade breads! (I’m also a messy cook.)
What I love most of all?
My children wondering what that wonderful smell is brewing in the kitchen.
It feeds their soul and swells my heart.
All of my dishes are all tried-and-true, tested by my big brood and given the stamp of approval; you will love these recipes and can count on them.
