the ultimate chocolate chunk cookie

Chocolate cookies are made at my home probably 2 times a week to keep up with demand. I’ve altered the recipe until I got what I wanted which is: big, cakey, crisp on the outside, moist in the inside, melt in your mouth good…you must make these.
Makes 4 dozen monster cookies
Ingredients:
printable recipe
Ingredients:
4 sticks of softened butter
11/2 cup sugar
11/2 cup brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
5 cups flour
2 bags of good quality chocolate pieces such a Guittard (my personal fave)
Directions:
With a large paddle attachment in your mixer combine the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix until just combined. Add your dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
With a large ice cream scoop drop 6 scoops of the cookie dough on the cookie sheet evenly spaced apart. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Do not over bake! I leave on the cookie sheet to further bake for a couple of minutes until placing on cooling racks.
Enjoy!

I found your blog from Tater Tots and Jello and I'm so excited! I'm a new follower and I have a feeling I'll be here often!

Those are some super yummy cookies… I don't think I could make them twice a week, because I'd be the one eating them!!!!

We have made these MANY times: they are now a household fav. Today, we added 2 teaspoons of vanilla, 4 teaspoons of instant espresso coffee, and 1/4 cup cocoa. My younger daughter has named today's creation her Ninja Snack Cookies (because she IS a ninja!). Thanks Jenny. You rock!!!!! Melissa in NE
