This Stove Top Mac and Cheese is the most delicious and creamy mac and cheese, like ever. Easy and will be a new family fave. Move over Kraft–something more delicious is in town!

Stove Top Mac and Cheese
Your search for the best mac and cheese for the kiddos, young and old alike, is here--the search is over my friends... The most delicious mac and cheese you'll ever eat--using whole milk, cream cheese, sharp cheddar and some macaroni and you've got yourself a wonderful lunch!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 8 oz. sharp shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste I add dried parsley for a pop of color

  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 8 oz. sharp shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste I add dried parsley for a pop of color
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan of boiling, salted water, cook the macaroni until al dente; drain in a colander.
  2. In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture is steaming hot and thick, about 4 minutes.
  5. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheddar and cream cheese until melted.
  6. Stir in the cooked macaroni and season to taste with salt and a little pepper.

    I think there is an error in the Recipe. On the ingredients list, it reads 2 tbsp elbOw macaroni. Should it be 12 ounces?
